Ministries of the National
Christian Outreach
The
Compassion Center Mission Kitchen: The Compassion Center is located at
2616 Shelby Street on the near south side of Indianapolis. This work is
responsible for feeding between 150 to 200 people of the streets seven days per
week. In addition to feeding the poverty stricken, the mission holds daily
devotional services and a weekly Sunday service featuring ministers of all
Christian Faiths. The Compassion Center is totally inter-denominational in
it's approach, vowing to know nothing among the people but "Christ and Him
Crucified".
This
portion of the National Christian Outreach was born of the vision of Thomas
Elliott as he saw those that were hungry on the streets of this city and made a
vow to Christ that someday he would have a place where people could be fed
without the need for money. All are welcome at this Center, however, we
reserve the right to refuse service to those that are high on drugs or alcohol.
Many of
those that are served by this mission ultimately give their lives over to Christ
, accepting Him into their hearts and begin new lives free from the bondage of
their dependence on artificial stimuli.
The
National Christian Outreach Reaching Out: Throughout the years this
vital ministry has not been satisfied to work only in the Indianapolis area, but
has reached out into the Appalachian Mountains, Eastern Kentucky and various
other places where natural disasters and poverty has reigned. These places
include Mexico, areas covered by flood waters from the Mississippi River, areas
of Florida which have suffered from the effects of hurricanes and the Native
American Reservations of the Dakotas. During these missions of mercy we
were able to provide relief with our gifts of food, furniture,
household items, blankets etc. All this at no charge to the recipients.

Kirklin
Wesleyan Has Benefit Sing
The Kirklin Wesleyan Church blessed the NCO with a benefit
sing on Saturday March 01, 2008. The spirit was superb and $250.00 was
raised.
We wish to thank the groups involved for their selfless
giving of their time and resources. The evening started with the Sanctuary
Quartet from the Sanctuary Church in Indianapolis. After this the
Christianaires from Dunkirk, IN blessed those that attended. Next the
Dickersons from Kirkland were anointed greatly and sang beautifully. Last
the evening was capped off by the talents of Holly and Precious Spirit. A
sincere thank you goes out to each of these good people.
We need more churches to plan benefits
like this so we can not run so tight on our funds. Either email me or call
me at 317-889-0364 to set up a sing. I will do all I can to be there.
My email address is

what God is doing.
Christ in us is the hope
of glory!
Lives without
Christ have no hope. Lives with Christ have eternal life. The scripture
records that "if we have hope in this life only we are of all men most
miserable. Millions of people literally, live daily with their only hope
being in the lives they are living.
When a man, woman or child comes to
accept the Lord into their lives, they open a whole new dimension of hope.
Hope in the future, hope in eternity and most of they have hope that surpasses
anything this world has to offer.
What one of us has not known what it is
like to go to bed at night Christless. When we are without him, we are
floating aimlessly upon the sea of life. We are tossed to and fro by the
everyday problems we face. When he abides within us, however, we have
peace and a place to turn to in time of trouble. Why not give your heart
to the master today? You have nothing to lose and eternity to gain.
